Blizzard announced the launch of Watch Pioneer League

Blizzard has just launched another step, turning the Watch Pioneers into a very popular eSports game by announcing the first Watch Pioneer League. This is the first major professional "competing vanguard" eSports events, teams from different cities will compete for dominance each other. In the first season starting January 10, a total of 12 franchise organizations will compete for championships in key cities in Asia, Europe and North America.

The teams include Boston Uprising, Team Envy, Florida Mayhem, Houston Outlaws, London Spitfire, Cloud9, Los Angeles Gladiators, Immortals, New York Excelsior (Jeff Wilpon and SterlingVC), Philadelphia Fusion (Comcast Spectacor), San Francisco Shock (NRG eSports), Seoul Dynasty (Kevin Chou), and Shanghai Dragons (NetEase).

The teams met already in combat as early as December, so they are ready for the first season of the league.

Blizzard said the WatchWire Alliance was created to provide players, teams and fans with a unique experience. Twelve first-team teams from major cities in Asia, Europe and North America participated in the first season and will redefine their expectations of eSports.

Blizzard also announced that the first Watch Pioneer League season will last until June, while the playoffs and finals will be held in July at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles. For players who are not 12 teams, Blizzard prepared a special uniform, you can buy in the game. Most importantly, every player logged in between now and February 13 will receive enough Union Tokens to be able to get the team uniforms of their choice for free.
