NVIDIA disobeys AMD RX 5700 graphics card: 7 nm power consumption is still higher than RTX 20 family

Obviously, the RX 5700 series has maintained a good post-development advantage. Judging from the price, performance and manufacturing process of several hard core indicators, it is indeed expected to have an impact on RTX 20 series graphics cards.

Maybe it smelled the strange smell of the market, NVIDIA actually responded in an open campaign, and the weakness they caught was power consumption.

As shown in the figure, the two key data are TDP (thermal design power) and TGP (total power consumption of graphics cards). The TDP of RX 5700 is 150W, the TGP is 180W, the TDP of RX 5700XT is 180W, and the TGP is 225W.

By contrast, RTX 2080 has 148W TDP and 215W TGP; RTX 2070 has 120W TDP and 175W TGP; RTX 2060 has 115W TDP and 160W TGP.

Will this persuade you to stay or switch to the N-card camp?
