Today,Huawei released its latest sustainable development report for 2018This is the 11th time since 2008. The aim is to report Huawei's sustainable development status to the public actively, so that the whole society can understand and supervise Huawei's sustainable development work.The report references the Global Reporting Initiative(GRI)
Disclosure of the report,At present, Huawei has 188,000 employees.It operates in more than 170 countries and regions, serving more than 3 billion people.
Huawei is a 100% employee-owned private enterprise with 96,768 participants under the Employee Stock Ownership Scheme through trade unions. Participants are only employees of the company, and no government department or institution holds Huawei's equity.
The shareholders elect 115 representatives, and the shareholders'representatives elect the chairman and 16 other directors. The representative Association of shareholders is the supreme authority of the company, which makes decisions on such important matters as profit distribution, capital increase and election of directors and supervisors.

In terms of environmental protection, Huawei's product solutions save 10-15% energy.Six mobile phone products received the highest level UL110 green certification, and the reuse rate of returned products reached 82.3%.We will implement about 932 million kWh of clean energy and reduce carbon emissions by about 450,000 tons.
In terms of harmonious ecology, Huawei has invested more than 13.5 billion yuan in employee security worldwide, appointed and trained compliance officers in more than 130 subsidiaries, and has more than 140,000 certified personnel worldwide through Huawei Safety Passport.177 Community Public Welfare Projects WorldwideA total of 87 805 patents were granted and 194 suppliers were audited on site.
